Autopsy ‘ll Reveal What Killed 2 Futo Students, Says Imo Police Command
Featured, Imo, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Monday, March 8th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Contrary to some media reports that the two students of the Federal university of Science and Technology (FUTO) Owerri, Imo state, who died weekend in their hostel room passed on as a result generator fume, police in the state has said only medical autopsy would reveal the actual cause of their deaths.
It was gathered that the deceased were said to have been found by the police in their hostel room lying criitically helpless.
Speaking with Our Correspondent on Sunday, Imo state police Public Relations officer PPRO, Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the ugly incident, said investigation has begun on the development.
According to him, only medical autopsy result can reveal the actual cause of the deceased deaths .
“Upon recieving the report, at the Divisional police headquarters Nekede/ Ihiagwa, operatives of the Division moved to Jabulani Hostel , Eziobodo and met the three occupants of the room, identified as Nkama Fred EbereChukwu (M), 22 years, Udeagbala Kenechukwu (M), 21 years and Anele Stephen (M), 21, all lying helplessly in the room.
“Opratives broke into the room and immediately evacuated them to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owerri, where two of the victims were confirmed dead by doctors on duty, but Nkama Fred Eberechukwu was successfully revived, and presently receiving treatment.
