Atiku, Saraki Fault Nyako’s Impeachment
Featured, Latest Headlines Tuesday, July 15th, 2014Reactions have been trailing the impeachment of former Adamawa state Governor, Murtala Nyako and resignation of his deputy, Bala Ngilari.
Senator Bukola Saraki described the development as unfortunate, saying impeachment should not be the priority of the present administration.
He added it was appalling that similar impeachment charges were being pressed against other opposition governors.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar condemned the sack, contending that impeachment should not be made the tool to settle scores with the opposition and perceived enemies, noting that the sack was not the intention of the framers of the 1999 Constitution.
