Atiku Condoles Adamawa Monarch On Mother’s Passage
Latest Headlines, News Sunday, December 27th, 2015Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has sent condolences to the Lamido of Adamawa, (HRH) Barkindo Mustapha, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Adda Gombeji.
The Lamido’s mother passed away a few days ago at her residence in Yola, Adamawa State, at the age of 87.
Atiku in a statement, praised the late octogenarian mother for her enviable and spectacular role in the life of the Lamido and in the life of the people of Adamawa all through the period of her eventful life.
The Turaki Adamawa recalled that the many sacrifices borne by the late Lamido’s mother which translated to better communal relations not only among the people of Adamawa but, among the people of the different ethnic groups that live and work in the North Eastern State, adding that the late Lamido’s mother lived an exemplary life and a life of service.
Reflecting on the rich life of the late Monarchy’s mother, the former Vice President said Hajiya Gombeji was a lover of peace and worked hard for those around her to live in peace and happiness.
The long life she enjoyed before her demise, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was a testimony to the benefit of her peaceful and contented life while on earth. He wished the family, particularly the Lamido, the fortitude to bear the loss.
