News, Sports News Friday, September 30th, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and his Tottenham counterpart Mauricio Pochettino have declared they are open to succeed the immediate past England Manager Sam Allardyce in the future.
The Football Association is searching for a new England Coach following Sam Allardyce’s depature just 67 days after his appointment due to a newspaper’s publication which indicted him of players transfer misconduct.
Wenger, 66, when asked, said: “One day, if I’m free, why not?”
On his part, 44-years-old Pochettino, stated “Yes, why not? In the future.”
However, the two managers clarified that they were presently committed to their current clubs.
Allardyce, was replaced Roy Hodgson due to woeful performance in Euro 2016 which held in France. He left by mutual agreement Tuesday after the Daily Telegraph claimed in its publication he offered advice on how to “get around” rules on player transfers. He had however admitted the guilt, but declared “entrapment” had won and there was nothing to hide anymore.
He recorded 1-0 victory over Slovakia in their opening 2018 World Cup qualifier in September.
