Army Confirms Boko Haram Leader, Shekau Wounded In Sambisa Air Strike

BORNO, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Nigerian Army has confirmed that the so called Boko Haram Leader Abubakar Shekau has been seriously wounded during an air raid within Sambisa forest.
In a statement by the Army Acting Director of Public Relations’ Col Sani Ukasheka Usman, the air offensive was as a result of interdiction efforts by the Nigerian Airforce (NAF).
Col Usman specified that the strike held during the terrorists’ Friday ritual at Taye village Gombale within Sambisa forest, Borno State.
Army added that three Boko Haram Commanders, including Abubakar Mubi; Malam Nuhu and Malam Hammam were killed during the raid.
The statement also claimed that another 300 suspected militants were killed during the strike.
