Appeal Court Upturns Ikpeazu’s Sack as Abia Governor
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, Uncategorized Thursday, August 18th, 2016ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A Court of Appeal in Abuja Division has upturned the ruling of a Federal High Court also in Abuja over the sack of Abia State Governor, Okozie Ikpeazu.
It would be recalled Justice Okon Abang mid June sacked Ikpeazu as he was said to be guilty of filing false tax documents to his opposition PDP and INEC to contest the State’s Governorship primary in December 2014.
Justice Abang in his ruling order INEC to withdraw Certificate of Return from Ikpeazu and issue another one to his rival Uche Ogah as the duly elected Governor of the South East State.
It would also be recalled that the Appeal Court reserved its ruling last week on the matter, which has provoked another endless legal tussle.
