APC will give PDP a run for its money

I was happy for the recent registration of APC, a coalition of three political parties, in Nigeria as a political party. I think it is a good development for Nigeria’s democracy. I have always believed that what we need in this country is two strong political parties. In my view, it will unite the country more and easily lead to change of the ruling party quickly. I believe with a truly strong alternative party, one party cannot continue to rule for so long. The reason that PDP has stayed this long in power is that they really don’t have a strong opposition that can match their strength in National Assembly, states, and in local government level. Hence explains why PDP members become oppositions within their own party. Hopefully, APC can quickly put their acts together as we approach 2015 election.
