APC Leaders Meet To Consider Consensus Presidential Candidate

As Political parties primaries approach, indications have emerged that the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) might be considering reaching for consensus among its Presidential aspirants.
Pointers to this, became obvious yesterday as one of the party’s aspirants and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal as well as the Zamfara State Governor, Abdulazeez Yari, met in FCT Abuja, Tuesday over the way out on the issue.
The meeting was said to have been scheduled to feature all the party’s Presidential aspirants and leaders from the northern part of the country.
Sources also revealed to AFRICAN EXAMINER that the meeting was initiated and convened to manage the attendant bickering that may play out in the build up to and conduct of the Party’s Presidential primary.
