APC Lawmakers Resurface In Ado-Ekiti, Suspend 6 PDP Lawmakers
Featured, Latest Headlines, Nigeria 2015 Election Friday, December 19th, 2014By Niyi Adeyi – After weeks of staying away, 19 out of 25 of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Friday secretly surfaced and slammed suspension on the factional Speaker, Hon. Dele Olugbemi and five others.
The suspension was pronounced at the plenary presided over by the embattled Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin and which held at an unknown location in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The 19 lawmakers of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), also overruled the plenary sessions previously held by the factional legislators as well as actions and decisions made by them.
The five factional lawmakers, who belong to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) include: Hons. Mrs. Adunni Olayinka, Israel Olowo, Samuel Ajibola, Ayoka Fatumbi and Alex Ade Ojo.
