APC Lauds Amaechi On Good Leadership

The All Progressive Congress, APC in Rivers State has commended the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on the many giant strides of his government, particularly, in health, education, roads and bridges, power, human capital development, including others.

The APC said, the giant strides are clear testimony of good leadership, good governance and accountability.

Interim state chairman, Chief (Dr.) Davies Ibiamu stated this Friday during a press briefing at the State Headquarter of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Port Harcourt, the State Capital.

According to him, “A clear evidence of the frugality and accountability of the government of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is the achievement of a B⁺ rating by Fitch, which is a global rating agency dedicated to providing value beyond the rating of independent and prospective credit opinions, research and data.

It therefore behoves on the good people of our dear state to support and stand by the governor even as he fearlessly confronts impunity and demands equity, justice and fair play for Rivers State and our people”, Chief Davies said.

Chief Davies also implore the entire citizenry to unequivocally support the government of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for the many generational projects and programmes being undertaken by the state government to uplift the living standard of Rivers people, describing it, as the most important essence of governance.

Speaking further, Davies explained that, “We acknowledge that while Rivers State (like other states) is facing some challenges, there are peculiar challenges that have needlessly been imposed on our dear state by the powers that be. We enjoin our people not to despair and remain resolute in support of our dear governor to ensure that the interests of Rivers State are protected at all times”.

The APC state chairman equally said, the Party is embarking on a new and critical mission to restore hope and order, generate job opportunities and enhance the living standard of the people, even though, the Party is conscious of the nexus between extreme poverty and radicalism, kidnapping and other criminality.

According to him, “This is in realization that solutions to our socio-economic problems do not lie with force of arms, political propaganda and lawlessness which are the hallmarks of the PDP in Rivers State. Achieving general contentment for the populace can only come through careful study, hard work, adherence to the rule of law and internal party democracy which are the hallowed principles of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

The Party also expressed regrets over the wasted 2 million votes for PDP for the centre during the 2011 general elections, saying, it has so far got nothing in return but, were being subjected to group persecution and discrimination by the Federal government.

“Even few projects started by the Federal Government in Rivers State before 2011, have all been abandoned. Thank God that Rivers people are wiser now and have fully embraced the APC which will surely deliver the dividend of democracy for Rivers people if voted into power in 2015”, Davies said.

The APC in Rivers State has also promised it will through its seasoned and credible politicians ensure that, the Party’s actions and inactions are guided by genuine fear of God and commitment to sincerity, humility, strict adherence to the rule of law, and the practice of internal party democracy.
