APC Joins PDP In Hiring Foreign PR Firm, To Cough Out $1.2 Million a Year

The All Progressive Congress-APC may be accused of ‘’not doing what it preaches’’ following the decision of the Nigeria’s main opposition party to hire the services of a London based Public Relations company, Burson-Marsteller in a contract worth $1.2 Million a year as part of efforts to win sympathy votes ahead of the 2015 elections.

APC, who had few weeks ago, openly criticized the ruling Peoples Democratic Party-PDP of engaging in similar act, has saddled Burson-Marsteller with the responsibility of changing the Nigerian electorates’ perception that its members are Boko Haram sympthisers as being openly portrayed by the Federal government.

APC-LOGOThis was revealed in a document obtained by a USA based online publication dated 12 May 2014, and signed by Ladi Delano for Delano Family Limited on behalf of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

According to the engagement letter signed by the 32 year old Delano, who is allegedly fronting for APC’s National Leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the appointment started in May 12, 2014 with a monthly fee of $100,000.00.

Delano, who was said to have met Tinubu during the APC leader’s recent medical treatment to the United States of America, had claimed he was part of Obama’s  victory in a ploy  to woo Asiwaju, as Tinubu is widely called, so he could  secure political campaign contracts from the APC.

The Federal Government had criticized the APC for not condemning the activities of the Boko Haram insurgents.

The Goodluck Jonathan administration also accused the opposition party of having members linked to the sect within its rank and file.

It would be recalled that Senators Ali Modu Sheriff and Ali Ndume, both of APC are alleged to be supporters of the Sect.

Ndume is currently facing charges for allegedly sponsoring Boko Haram, while Sheriff has not been charged.
