APC Inaugurates Mini Convention Committee

Ahead of its Wednesday, October 29, 2014 meeting, the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated a 18-man committee for its mini convention, slated for FCT, Abuja.
The committee which was constituted in Abuja Thursday, by the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie – Oyegun, is headed by the Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Abubakar, while the Secretary is the former Bayelsa state Governor, Timipreye Silva.
The committee also comprises former Governor of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje; Senator Robert Boroface, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, Alhaji Bala Borodo, Temi Harriman, Dr Anyim Nyerere and the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Senator Osita Izunaso, the National Secretary, Alhaji Mai Buni and National Welfare Secretary, Dikko Radda.
In additional, the APC party’s National Vice Chairmen in all the geopolitical zones of the country were also co-opted into the committee.
The Chairman of the committee, Governor Abubakar, highlighted that the task before the convention committee was to organize a successful convention, while the meeting itself was to effect certain ratification in the party’s constitution.
Not less than 2000 delegates from all the local government in the country, are expected to partake in the mini convention.
