Anxiety As Ethnic Clash Breaks In Mile 12, Lagos

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Following an ethnic clash between some Hausa and Yoruba boys, there is a breakdown of law and order in Mile 12 area, a Lagos suburb and its environs.
Details of the uprising are still sketchy, but sources confirmed to our Correspondent that some properties, including a school and some vehicles have been attacked by the hoodlums, who involved in the clash.
Unconfirmed account indicated that casualties have been recorded, while some policemen have also been reportedly injured.
The incident has resulted to confusion and raised nerves in the neighbouring communities, such as Ketu and Agiliti, as the motorists, passers-by and residents are anxious and run for cover.
