BENIN CITY, (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Publicity Secretary of the opposition All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Edo state chapter, Chief Paul Okolie and some other members of the party, have been expelled over alleged anti party activities.
The party accused Okolie of leading several other members of APGA to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to show solidarity to its candidate in the forthcoming governorship election, Godwin Obaseki.
Chairman of APGA in Edo state, Mr. Godfrey Ehimhen and the secretary, Aifuobhokhan Emmanuel, in a statement in Benin city, warned its members across the state to desist from “political prostitution” or face sanction.
The statement announced that Okolie and the party’s Organizing Secretary, Chief Chidi Eze, alongside their supporters have since been expelled and “are no longer members of the party.”
Efforts to speak with the expelled spokesman of the party was not fruitful, as his mobile phone was not reachable.
