Another bomb has rocked Rivers State again barely 24 hours in which the Office of the Deputy Governor of the State was bombed by unknown assailants.
This time around, it was the office of Justice Charles Wali that was reportedly bombed around 3.00pm on Wednesday.
The Administrative block of the judge’s office was reportedly affected by the bomb. It was gathered that the bombing of Wali’s office may not be unconnected with the judgment delivered by the judge that Mr. Evans Bipi should desist from parading himself as Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
Office of the Deputy Governor, Tele Ikuru was bombed on Tuesday by yet to be identified persons but there are speculations that the bombing was being carried out by the anti-Rotimi Amaechi’s camp for defecting to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Palpable fear has enveloped Rivers State as no one knows where another bomb will explode next as the battle for the soul of the state gathers momentum ahead of the 2015 governorship election as Joanthan backed PDP is bent on reclaiming the state from the APC.
Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Ibim Semenitari is worried of the incessant bombing of the state to spite the administration of Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
President Goodluck Jonathan has been embroiled in serious battle of supremacy with Governor Amaechi in a bid to lord over the state.
