The All progressive Congress APC,candidate in the Anambra state governorship polls, Senator Chris Ngige, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)of disenfranchising the people of his senatorial district in the election.
Ngige, who represents Anambra Central in the upper chambers of the National Assembly NASS, (senate) alleged that INEC deliberately refused to send result sheet to virtually all the polling units within the areas believed to be his strong hold, especially Idemili south and North.
According to the former Anambra state governor, the act was a calculated ploy by the electoral body to deliberately deny his people their civic rights, and opportunity of voting the candidate of their choice.
Meanwhile, at Nsugbe, Anambra east council area and country home of peoples Democratic party candidate, Tony Nwoye, voters including aged people were seen struggling to cast their votes so as to beat the 4pm dead line by INEC.
