Anambra Guber: Nigerians Tackle Soludo On Social Media Over Past Records
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Ahead of the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State, some Nigerians are of the view that former Central Bank Governor, Charles Soludo, is not capable to lead the state.
African Examiner reports that Soludo has declared his intention to run for the number one political position in the state under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
However, it appears that this decision by the professor of economics does not have the blessings of many who took to their social media account on Tuesday to question the antecedents of the former CBN governor.
According to them, Soludo supported the administration of President Buhari who many described as a failure and also some berated him for his scathing criticisms of former President Goodluck Jonathan and former minister of finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.
Mazi @FestusGreen @FestusGreen writes: “No doubts, Charles Soludo is a viable candidate for the top job in Anambra State. And since it’s a public Office, he’s got some explaining to do; his decision to support Buhari! That was clearly an error in judgement, but what I am interested in is the “why” and “how.”
Emma ik Umeh (Tcee )@emmaikumeh writes: “The same soludo that packaged Buhari? The same man told many lies against GEJ & @NOIweala. The same man never impacted the lives of anambrians. Today he wants to become the Gov. He should stop deceiving himself. He should continue writing his article. That is what he is good at.
Quest O@Missquesto writes: “NEVER EVER have faith or belief in anyone who supported Buhari. Survival Book chapter 1 vs 1. Especially the old who knew everything better but still sent us to a head on collision. Now we the young people will pay for it with our futures.”
MLS Odogwu@MLSct_Odogwu writes: “Any genuinely concerned Anambrarian knows Soludo isn’t ideal for the job at Agu Awka. Gender and zoning we won’t let deter us from choosing the best person for the job @SenUcheEkwunife Soludo may not be given a party ticket. Even the chieftains of APGA aren’t comfortable with him.”
Egojiolu ©@Onwe_alex writes: I’d prefer Dr maduka over soludo.”
Franklin Ebuka@iamfrankebuka writes: “If Soludo could gleefully and unabashedly tell us that Anambra was not broken under @WillieMObiano because of his political ambition, I consider him part of the problem.”
Emma ik Umeh (Tcee )@emmaikumeh writes: “Soludo that single-handedly mismanaging the country’s banking sector between May 2004 and May 2009 and plunged the country into an incredible accumulation of liabilities that will cost tax payers about N5.67 trillion. Soludo will be worse than Obiano. Soludo is not an option.
