Amid Accusations Of Lopsided Appointments, Buhari Swears In NSA, SGF, SA Media
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Monday, August 31st, 2015By Ganiyu Nasirudeen – President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn-in some of his aides, including the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Others sworn in, Monday at the brief event which held inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, were the just appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Babachir Lawal as well as the National Security Adviser, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd.).
The event was attended by top government officials, service Chiefs, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun among other guests.
While Adeshina and Monguno have been appointed almost immediately after Buhari’s swearing-in Friday May 29, this year, Lawal was just named last Thursday, with other five Presidential aides.
Many groups and Nigerians have tongue lashed the President arguing that his appointments have been predominantly from the north.
