Alarm Bell to Enugu Brides; Beware, No to Marriage With Pregnancy

Prospective brides in Enugu must hear this. The Anglican Church Diocese of the city has threatened it will no longer join prospective husbands with their wives to be, with pregnancy when approach altar. This is the resolve of the Bishop in charge of the Diocese, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma.
Rev. Chukwuma, who is also the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical province of the church, affirmed “the Diocese will no longer tolerate brides coming to the altar of God with pregnancy for wedding, because it is unholy”
“Since our master Jesus, is holy and pure, we Christians…always do things that are pure and clean” he stated.
The cleric, who spoke to newsmen on Thursday in Enugu, also warned Anglican ladies against indecent dressing, stressing that the church would not relent in waging war against immorality.
The Cleric emphasized: “As a church and conscience of the society, we will continue to embark on actions that will help in shaping and sanitizing the society”
He decried the alarming rate of divorce among married couples in the society, blaming it on the quest for materialism. The church according to him, has a big role to play in societal transformation, calling on religious leaders in the country to brace up to the unfolding challenges.
