Alamieyeseigha: Bayelsa Declares 7 Days Morning, Orders Flag To Fly Half Mast
Featured, Latest Headlines, News From The State Monday, October 12th, 2015The Bayelsa State Government has declared 7 days of mourning in honour of the first civilian Governor of the State Chief Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha, who passed on last Saturday at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.
A Government House statement to this effect also directed that, all flags in all public buildings and premises across the State be flown at half mast for the period.
The 7 days mourning period and the flying of the flags at half mast takes effect from Today, while condolence registers have been opened in Government House, the State Secretariat complex and Ijaw House, all in the State capital.
