Femi, the son of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu and Akinsanya were discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, but vacated the Surgical Emergency Ward of the hospital on Wednesday night, African Examiner gathered.

Sources say the duo are seeking further medical attention in the United Kingdom, which informed the reason they requested to be discharged.

It was gathered that Femi and Feyi could now sit and stand unaided as the doctors certified them healthy enough to be discharged from the hospital.

A source in the hospital said he learnt that the Agagu’s family asked that the duo be discharged to enable them fly out of the country for treatment overseas.

It was gathered that Feyi and Femi stayed longer in the hospital after they had been discharged to enable them perfect their travel documents. “So, they had to wait pending the time their travel logistic abroad is perfected,” a source said.

Head of the Surgical Emergency Unit at LASUTH, Dr. Mustapha said the duo had been discharged after they had been certified fit and that the remaining female victim in LASUTH might also be discharged this week.

“They were seven survivors initially, but three of them are with us now: a lady and two male victims. The two male in the private ward have been discharged. The woman is ok and she might be discharged this week,” he said.
