After Two Weeks Break, FG Orders NERFUND Staff To Resume Work
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, June 28th, 2016ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Federal Government (FG) has directed the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND) staff to resume work immediately.
The directive which was given Tuesday by the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, followed the resolution of disputes among the staff of the organization.
Sequel to the conflict among the staff of the agency, the Permanent Secretary of the Finance Ministry, Dr. Mahmoud Isa-Dutse on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in a circular directed the staff to stay away from work so as to avert further breakdown of law and order in the FG agency.
NERFUND was established in 1989 to provide medium and long-term financing to viable Small and Medium scale production enterprises to increase the quantity of goods and services available for local consumption and export, among other functions.
It has since provided credit facilities for 2,829 projects valued N9.5 billion between 1989 and 1999.
