After 5 Years, Samir Nasri Leaves City For Sevilla On Loan
Featured, Latest Headlines, Sports News Wednesday, August 31st, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Manchester City Midfielder Samir Nasri has toed the lines of Goalkeeper Joe Hart and Striker Wilfried Bony as he just joined Spanish club, Sevilla on a season-long loan deal.
The 29-years-old France international has left City, despite his first – Sunday appearance of the season and 3-1 home win against West Ham.
Man City Manager Pep Guardiola did not allow Nasri to train with the main group when he returned overweight for pre-season.
While Hart joined Italian side, Torino the Ivory Coast international – Bony moved to Stoke until end of the season.
In a social media post, Nasri said: “It’s been a pleasure, thanks to everyone in the club and the fans for the five amazing years and wish you best of luck for the season”.
Nasri’s mate Eliaquim Mangala, who was left out of City’s Champions League squad, is equally showing interest in some clubs.
Interestingly, Mangala’s former club, Porto, which sold the 25-years-old France defender to City for 32 milion ponds two years ago, are keen on him, regarding ‘homecoming’.
