Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu appears deemed for a very stormy challenge in achieving his new political ambition as an Ijaw leader and Chieftain of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Edwin Clark has advised against granting him a waiver in his bid to win the party’s governorship primaries in the October 11 Adamawa bye-election.
This submission was made Thursday during a press conference in Clark’s Abuja residence.
Clark’s position was precipitated on Ribadu’s pedigree of disappointment he was reputed, citing example of faulty claims and false alarms by him against the ruling PDP and instigating impeachment of a PDP Governor.
He noted that Ribadu who was, a former Presidential candidate under the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in 2007 general elections and recently decamped to PDP was ingrate even to President Goodluck Jonathan who saved his career while still in the Force.
He asserted that the former anti-graft boss would maintain his antecedents if given the new opportunity.
