Adamawa Election: PDP, APC Intensify Campaign

Just eight days to October 11 governorship bye-election in Adamawa state, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) have intensified their campaign to seek electorates support during the election.
The PDP governorship candidate and Acting governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri has commenced campaign tour of the 21 local government areas of the state.
During his visit so far, Finitiri ensured he commissioned project and seek for peoples’ vote in the approaching poll.
Fintiri during his tour promised to bring more dividends of democracy to the people of the state, if elected.
He expressed optimism that he would win the election, noting his party has large followership in the state.
Similarly, the APC governorship candidate, Senator Bindow Jibrilla campaign train was kick started Tuesday.
Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar during the take off, urged the people of the state to vote APC, adding that it was the only party that could bring positive change to the state.
Senator Jibrilla who is representing Adamawa Northern District pointed out that he was not leaving anything to chances, as he was working round the clock to ensure victory in the election.
AFRICAN EXAMINER gathered that the two major contending political parties, PDP and APC would use the Sallah period to reachout to the electorates.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has promised to provide a level playing for all the political parties participating in the coming poll.
