Abia Governor Dissolves Cabinet, Retains 3 Commissioners
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Saturday, January 23rd, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The Chief press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka made this known via a press statement he issued in Umuahia, the Abia state capital.
According to the announcement, the Governor also directed that the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji, are to continue performing the duties of their office along with the Secretary to State Government SSG, Barr. Chris Ezem
“All those affected by this dissolution are to handover all government properties in their possession, together with their handover notes, to their respective Permanent Secretaries” the statement directed.
“The Governor, however, expressed his deep appreciation to those affected for their services to the people of Abia State, and wished them well for the future.
