Aba: Armed Robbers Invade Catholic Church, Rob Priest, Make Away With Honda Car

Armed gunmen on wednesday invaded Tansi Catholic Church at World Bank Housing Estate, Abayi, Aba, Abia state and dispossessed a priest, Rev. Father Emeka Okoro of substantial undisclosed amount and other valuables.
African Examiner learnt that the hoodlums who were over ten in number entered the church’s parsonage through the back fence at about 12:45 and made away with a black Honda Accord car with registration number Lagos LND 47 AC belonging to the parish priest.
A member of the Parish who preferred to speak under condition of anonymity said they learnt about the incident when they came for morning mass.
He said “We learnt that they made away with two laptops, one I-pad, his handset and unestimated amount of money including his Honda car, but the Rev. Fr. was not hurt.” the parishioner state
However, efforts to speak with the Priest did not yield positive result, as he was said to be out of the parish.
The Abia state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Geoffrey Ogbonna, who confirmed the incident, appealed to members of the public to always volunteer useful information that could lead to the smashing of criminals to security operatives.
