25 Killed, Many Injured In Fresh Zamfara Attack

ZAMFARA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – No fewer than 25 people were reportedly killed, while several others injured Saturday night as gunmen stormed three Zamfara State communities.
A State lawmaker representing Zurmi West in the State House of Assembly, Yusuf Moriki, according to Premium Times confirmed to NAN that the incident occurred at Dole, Tudun Bugaje and Kwangwami communities in Zurmi Local Government Area North West State.
“So far, we have the record of 25 people who were killed during the attack, while many others injured have been taken to hospital for treatment,” the State lawmaker confirmed.
Moriki indicated further that during the attack, the bandits attacked the villages, after carrying out similar attacks in some communities at the neighbouring Shinkafi Local Government Area, the previous day.
The Saturday’s attack followed similar, which occurred about two weeks ago, in which 40 people were killed.
