Lagos Man Docked for Armed Robbery

A 23-year-old man Olaide Dauda has been arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ikeja for an alleged armed robbery.
The suspect was docked before Miss Akinde on Thursday for a two-count charge of conspiring with five others now at large to rob one Garuba Gbadamosi with a locally made gun.
Dauda was alleged to have committed the offence on 9th September 2013 at Agric Bustop, Ojo, Lagos.
The suspect allegedly used his motor cycles, popularly known as Okada to block Gbadamosi and other victims when they were travelling in a commercial vehicle.
The sus[ect and his gang then robbed Gbadamosi the sum of N2,000, driver’s licence and also dispossessing one Musa Morufu of a Nokia phone valued at N13,000 and robbed one Wahab Rabiu the sum of N200,000
The offence is punishable under Section 1(2)(a)(b) of the Robbery and Fire Arms(Special Provisions) Act, Cap 398, Vol.XX11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2003.
The matter has however been adjourned to 10th December, 2013
