The Plateau State Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the State Chairman of the party Dr. Haruna Dabin to resign his position and pursue his gubernatorial ambition.
African Examiner gathered that the action of the State Working Committee followed reports that Dr. Dabin had declared to run for governorship of the State come 2015.
Our correspondent also learnt from a source in the party Secretariat that, the State Working Committee worked out on the Chairman in a meeting held at the State party Secretariat in Jos on Tuesday.
The source said they were infuriated over the insistence of Dr. Dabin to preside over the meeting of the Working Committee.
African Examiner further gathered that the move to walk out on him unsettled the Chairman, as he made effort to deny informing the State Governor of his political ambition.
The Committee members left the party Secretariat with a vow to reconvene soon to commence a process of replacing the Chairman, if he fails to submit his resignation letter before then.
