2015: Northeast Youths Drum Support for Jonathan

Despite the security challenges bedeviling the North- Eastern part of the country, a group under the aegis of North East Progressive Youth for Jonathan (NPYFJ) has expressed it desire to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s if he decides to contest the 2015 Presidential election.
This was stated by the Zonal Coordinator of the group Barrister Alkali Mohammed, while briefing journalists at the end of the group’s meeting held in Bauchi on Sunday.
He said, “The meeting is aimed at bringing youths from the North- East to educate them on the need to support Jonathan as Presidential candidate in 2015 and the youths in the region have assured us of their support.
The group urged President Jonathan to declare his intention to contest the 2015 Presidential election as soon as possible in the best interest of the country.
Alkali maintained that the President has done a lot towards addressing the problems of northern Nigeria who are educationally back ward.
He noted that the president has established Federal Universities in all states that didn’t have, and has made giant strides to address the problems of tsangaya education by establishing Qur’anic Model Schools in all parts of Northern Nigeria.
The group commended Jonathan for his efforts in ensuring the protection of lives and properties and assured that with his effort all security challenges in the region would soon be a thing of the past.
