In order to ensure a hitch-free Eid kabir celebration, the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Suleimon Abba has ordered effective and extensive deployment of personnel as well as necessary logistics to all nooks and crannies of the country.
Consequently, IGP has directed all Assistant Inspector General (AIGs) and States’ Command Commissioners Of Police (CPs) to make provision for “water tight” security across the country, prior to, during and after the salaah period.
In a statement issued by the Force Spokesperson, Ag. CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, Abba specified that marked points such as places of worship, recreation centres, resorts and other public spots were “adequately and effectively protected, to ensure the worshipers and general public enjoyed maximum security”.
While extending Salaah message to the Muslim faithful, IGP commended men of the Force for their “tireless and selfless service to the nation”.
