‎7 PDP Governors Not Holding Secret Meetings With APC, Says Metuh

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denounced the allegation made by the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha that seven PDP governors plan to defect to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Olisah Metuh described the allegation as baseless and one of the lies being peddled by the opposition.

He expressed worry over what‎ he described as the APC’s habit of peddling lies in a bid to win voters over to its side.

Metuh while giving an assurance of the untainted loyalty of all the PDP governors to President Goodluck Jonathan, also expressed confidence that the PDP will defeat the APC with a wide margin in the forthcoming elections.

He said the PDP would cease to respond to the unfounded stories being mischievously peddled by the opposition, describing the act as one of desperation coming from a party that knows defeat is imminent.
