
{"id":552,"date":"2014-01-18T21:39:37","date_gmt":"2014-01-18T21:39:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/africanexaminer.com\/sports\/?p=552"},"modified":"2014-01-18T23:31:26","modified_gmt":"2014-01-18T23:31:26","slug":"burundi-top-group-d-in-a-dramatic-fashion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/africanexaminer.com\/sports\/football\/burundi-top-group-d-in-a-dramatic-fashion\/","title":{"rendered":"Burundi top group D in a dramatic fashion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A last minute goal by Selemani Ndikumana was all Burundi needed to go to the top of group D after defeating Mauritania 3-2 at the 0n-going African Nations Championship in South Africa saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Mauritania scored an early goal in the encounter described by many as one of the most exciting game of the tournament through Ely Vheikh Voulany&#8217;s strike inside the first two minutes.<\/p>\n<p>It didn&#8217;t take much time for Voulany&#8217;s goal to be cancelled as Burundi&#8217;s Fiston Razaq Abdul equalized five minutes after the opener before \u00a0Christophe Nduwarugira gave them the lead in the 61st minute.
