Liverpool\u2019s bid for Mario Balotelli has collapsed after AC Milan refused to sanction a ‘good behaviour’ clause in the deal.<\/p>\n
The Reds are desperate to add another striker before the transfer deadline after Luis Suarez’s big-money move to Barcelona.<\/p>\n
Balotelli, 24, will be allowed to leave the San Siro this summer despite scoring 14 goals in 30 league appearances last season.<\/p>\n
Third parties have been attempting to push through a deal for him to return to England and the Reds were interested in a loan switch.<\/p>\n
It would have seen Balotelli move to Anfield but with the Reds retaining the power to send him back at any point.<\/p>\n
That would have given Brendan Rodgers the potential to get the best out of Balotelli without having to worry about the mad-cap front-man being tied to the club for the long term.<\/p>\n
But Milan did not want to risk being stuck with Balotelli if he was sent back from Liverpool and after being sounded out, they dismissed any deal on those terms.<\/p>\n
