Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini came off the bench to spark a dramatic comeback for the Belgians against unfenced Algeria.<\/p>\n
The Desert Foxes took an unlikely lead after suicidal defending from Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen gifted the Africans that chance to take the lead from the spot.<\/p>\n
Sofiane Feghouli obliged and sent Thibaut Courtois the wrong way to put a shock result on the cards.<\/p>\n
And for an hour Eden Hazard and Co had absolutely no answer to Algeria’s solid defensive unit.<\/p>\n
But, while the tournament’s dark horses were in danger of being devoured by the Desert Foxes, Marc Wilmots rang the changes and threw on the big men in what was a very effective Plan B.<\/p>\n
The United man popped up to head home from a free kick, turning the game within a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n
Fellaini’s goal broke the hearts of a resolute Algeria and you could tell a winner for the Europeans was just around the corner.<\/p>\n
Dries Mertens was on hand to smash home as the Algerians were caught out at the back.<\/p>\n
All the talk before the game was of Belgium’s glittering of attacking talent, Adnan Januzaj didn’t even get off the bench, but in the end it was a bit of old fashioned brute force and an outstanding Plan B which got the Red Devils roaring in Brazil.<\/p>\n
