Phil Jones admitted Manchester United fans had every right to leave early and boo their team after the champions slumped to a 12th Premier League defeat this season.<\/p>\n
United\u2019s 1-0 home defeat to Sunderland has all but ended any chance of them qualifying for the Europa League, meaning there will be no European football at Old Trafford next season.<\/p>\n
And defender Jones conceded the fans deserved to make their feelings known, with some walking out before the final whistle, while others booed their abject team off the pitch.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve had a difficult season,\u201d said Jones. \u201cIt\u2019s not been easy for them, especially at Old Trafford. You can understand that totally.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re now looking forward to Hull on Tuesday night. The only way to bounce back is to win a match and at least it\u2019s coming around quick.\u201d<\/p>\n
United have now suffered seven Premier League defeats at home this season, but Jones claimed the players did not feel under extra pressure playing in front of their own fans.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s pressure in every game, but we go out to win every game,\u201d he said. \u201cYou look at the away games we\u2019ve played, we\u2019re up there on form. But the home form, for whatever reason, has not been as good.\u201d<\/p>\n
