Ryan Giggs has been tipped to become a bigger managerial giant than Pep Guardiola.<\/p>\n

United reserve keeper Anders Lindegaard reckons Giggs can be the new Guardiola.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

Caretaker boss Giggs led Manchester United to a 4-0 win\u00a0over Norwich in his first game since replacing the axed David Moyes.<\/p>\n

And Red Devils reserve keeper Anders Lindegaard believes the Welshman showed immediate authority to suggest he could eventually be on a par with Guardiola, who has been a sensation in charge of both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

“In my view we are dealing with a new Pep Guardiola in Ryan Giggs,” Danish international Lindegaard said.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

“That might sound naive and impetuous. And I can understand people’s scepticism after just four training sessions, one game\u00a0and a day off under his management.<\/p>\n

“But what we have seen in the first week has been more than convincing.<\/p>\n

“The parallels with Sir Alex Ferguson are striking, and it’s clear that Ryan has been learning from the most awe-inspiring manager in history.<\/p>\n

“His final speech before the team took the field against Norwich was terrifying, in a way I have only experienced under Sir Alex before.<\/p>\n

“Some people might question whether it can work when you go from being a team-mate one day to a manager the next. Normally I would have reservations.<\/p>\n

“But in Giggs’ case it is another matter. He has always kept a professional distance from his team-mates.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

“He only opened his mouth when he had something relevant to say, and people have always listened to him.”The question is whether he is ready to realise the enormous potential he possesses.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
“Fortunately it is not my decision, but that of the club 100 per cent. And whatever the club decides, I’m sure everyone in and around the team will respect it.”<\/p>\n

Lindegaard also had words of sympathy with Moyes – who was sacked last week with United seventh in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

“The reality is simple,” the 30-year-old added. “Results have not been good enough.<\/p>\n

“For me the story is no more than that. David Moyes is a good man.<\/p>\n

“And whatever one may think of him, he deserves the same level of respect now that he had eight months ago.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<\/header>\n
