
{"id":3036,"date":"2014-03-26T00:02:57","date_gmt":"2014-03-26T00:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/africanexaminer.com\/sports\/?p=3036"},"modified":"2014-03-26T00:02:57","modified_gmt":"2014-03-26T00:02:57","slug":"another-crash-sets-arsenal-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/africanexaminer.com\/sports\/football\/another-crash-sets-arsenal-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Another &#8221;Crash&#8221; Sets Arsenal Back"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"js-article-text\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Shortly after \u00a0comparing the six-goal humiliation at Chelsea to a car crash, Arsene Wenger climbed back behind the wheel and drove into another accident as Arsenal were forced to a 2-2 draw at the Emirates by visiting Swansea City.<\/p>\n<p>Eleven minutes was all it took for Wilfried Bony to out-jump Thomas Vermaelen and head Swansea into the lead at Arsenal and render Wenger&#8217;s pre-match brag about focus and a good start in Tuesday&#8217;s Premier League tie with the visitors.<\/p>\n<p>For 70 minutes it looked more like his players meant to embarrass the Frenchman with listless display which upset even the most loyal Arsenal fans.<\/p>\n<p>The Gunners seemed to forget all their waepons in the armoury as they were easily unzipped by out-of-form Swansea, trailed for an hour as impatience and frustration set in inside the Emirates.<\/p>\n<p>However, the introduction of out-of favour Grmany striker Lukas Podolski turned the game in just seconds as the striker nudged in an equaliser after a beautiful cross into the penalty box by Kierran Gibbs.<\/p>\n<p>Swansea surrendered the ball cheaply from the restart and were hit with a second within a minute when Podolski, again charged down the left to set up Olivier Giroud.<\/p>\n<p>But Swansea levelled in the final seconds with a freak own goal from Mathieu Flamini who kicked a rebound into his own net after a Wojciech Szczesny save.
