Tim Sherwood took his place in the stands to get a better perspective of his Tottenham Hotspur side \u2013 but that didn\u2019t stop him from being the centre of attention in his side\u2019s thrilling 3-2 win over Southampton.<\/p>\n
Sherwood decided to sit suited and booted in the directors\u2019 box at White Hart Lane, explaining: \u2018I\u2019m getting involved in every little decision, which is possibly wrong.\u2019<\/p>\n
However, the viewing from upstairs did nothing to improve his mood \u2013 or Spurs\u2019 faltering Champions League hopes \u2013 as\u00a0Mauricio Pochettino\u2019s Saints ripped his side apart in the opening half an hour.<\/p>\n
Jay Rodriguez took advantage of poor defending from Kyle Naughton to put Southampton in front and, when the former Sheffield United man blundered again to gift Adam Lallana a second, that proved the final straw for the Tottenham manager.<\/p>\n
Sherwood reappeared on the touchline, red-faced and raging, just as Christian Eriksen pulled one back, and the same man might have scored again just before half-time as Spurs dragged their way back into the game.<\/p>\n
The manager was back in the stands by the time Eriksen levelled the scores soon after the restart but that didn\u2019t keep Sherwood out of the spotlight as he jumped off his seat to celebrate wildly.<\/p>\n
And when\u00a0Gylfi\u00a0Sigurdsson struck a dramatic stoppage-time winner Sherwood did a victory jig on the touchline \u2013 bringing back memories of David Pleat.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile,\u00a0Sherwood believes the rousing fightback vindicated his decision to give his players a rollocking \u2013 both after their 4-0 defeat at Chelsea a fortnight ago and at half-time this weekend.<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ve had a pop at them in the past but they know how to react to criticism now and they know how to react to winning games,\u2019 said Sherwood.<\/p>\n
