Juventus midfielder Andrea has been named Serie A’s best player for the second successive season.<\/p>\n
Pirlo was named Serie A’s player of 2012\/13 at Monday’s Gran Gala del Calcio, organised by the Association of Italian Footballers (ACI).<\/p>\n
The 34 year old and Juventus team-mates Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini and Arturo Vidal were selected in the team of the season, voted by the Italian top-flight’s players, coaches, referees, current and former Italy coaches and selected journalists.<\/p>\n
Speaking after receiving the award, he valued the award because of his colleagues, who voted for him.<\/p>\n
“They do the same job as me and they see better than anybody else what happens on the pitch.” Pirlo said.<\/p>\n
Juventus boss Antonio Conte, who led La Vecchia Signora to a second consecutive Scudetto, was again named best coach.<\/p>\n
