Australian Open: Murray Worries About His Fitness
- Updated: January 11, 2014

Andy Murray has expressed doubts over his ability to win this year’s Australian Open due to lack of fitness.
The Scot, who claimed to feel good after recovering from lower back surgery in September, said he could not guarantee his current fitness level.
”How many matches do you need before you are feeling 100% match fit? I don’t know” said the 26 year old.
Murray said he did not know how he would feel after playing a five-set match in 40C heat. ” Right now I feel like I’m a long way from winning the tournament.” he added.
The Wimbledon champion has played just three exhibitions and two ATP matches since returning to action on 26 September.
Murray faces Janpan’s Go Soeda in the first round on Tuesday.
