”We’ll All Celebrate Easter On The Pitch” Edwin Okon

As part of efforts to ensure Nigeria qualify for the next Africa Women Championship (AWC), Super Falcons coach Edwin Okon says the team will not observe Easter break nor be allowed to feature for their respective clubs in this weekend league matches.
Okon, who re-emphasize his determination to build a new national female team that will continue to rule continent, said the squad would celebrate Easter together in their camp.
“I promised Nigerians that I will build a new Super Falcons and that is why I am happy that we have to play Cameroon before taking on Rwanda in African Women championship (AWC) qualifier. The match will be used to see how they fit into match situations, team work and coordination”
“There will be no Easter break for any one of us. We shall all do the Easter on the pitch because we want to focus on the matches ahead of us. No player will be released to their club nor be allowed to go on any break
“We would perhaps only go on break after the friendly match against Cameroon. We hope to use the Easter break to strategize and perfect plans for the matches ahead.” Okon said.
The Rivers Angel team manager also expressed satisfaction at the response of the girls to training, adding that he was set to pick his final squad having being with the players for three weeks.
The Super Falcons will face the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon ian international friendly game coming up on April 29.
