Suarez Hails Sturridge’s Returns As Duo Demolish Stoke
- Updated: January 13, 2014

Luis Suarez hailed his reunion with Daniel Sturridge after the duo combined to devastating effect, helping Liverpool earn a 5-3 victory at Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.
Sturridge’s first appearance since November 23 due to an ankle injury was instrumental, as he came off the bench to set Suarez up for his 22nd goal of the season.
The England international then got in on the act by applying a neat finish at the death to wrap up maximum points for the Reds.
“Of course it is important [to have Sturridge back] because he is a great player and he helps the team,” said Suarez. “It’s a long time that we played without him, but now he is back we are so happy.”/ Liverpool.com
