Stephen Keshi Recalls Super Eagles Captain

Joseph Yobo’s determination and fighting spirit have finally paid off after the Super Eagles captain is being recalled to the team after one year absence.
Yobo was listed in coach Stephen Keshi’s 23 man squad to face Mexico in an international friendly in Atlanta, USA on March 5 as part of preparations for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The Fenerbahce of Turkey defender, who is currently on loan at Premiership side, Norwich City has always expressed desire to feature for the Super Eagles despite being relegated to the bench following the arrival of Chelsea’s Kenneth Omeruo in the national team.
The former Everton defender last played for the African champions at the 29th Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, which Nigeria won.
CHAN Most Valuable Player Ejike Uzoenyi, Israel based defender Juwon Oshaniwa and Canada-based striker Bright Dike are also returning to the squad.
