Spanish Giants Ready To Smash Transfer Record To Land Suarez
- Updated: May 21, 2014

Real Madrid and Barcelona want to smash the transfer record to sign Luis Suarez.
The La Liga giants are willing to bid £100m to try and lure Suarez away from Liverpool, according to sources in Spain.
Madrid spent £83m to make Gareth Bale the world’s most expensive player last summer.
But that record could be eclipsed less than 12 months after the Welshman left Tottenham.
Suarez is under contract at Anfield until 2018 after signing a mega-money extension back in December.
He last week claimed there was no clause in his deal allowing him to leave for Spain but both are desperate to claw back the La Liga title from Atletico Madrid.
Sources claim that Real and Barca are adamant they have to try their luck and test Liverpool’s resolve for a player at the top of his game.
However, it remains highly unlikely the 31-goal Premier League striker will leave Anfield this summer.
