Real Madrid Desperate To Grab Former Arsenal Defender From Chelsea
- Updated: May 21, 2014

Real Madrid have offered Ashley Cole a two-year deal worth a staggering £10million.
The Spanish giants are desperate to sign the 33-year-old left-back after his decision to quit Chelsea.
Cole is also a target for Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Inter Milan and Monaco.
But it is believed Real are the club offering him the most lucrative package – and Cole has always dreamed of playing in Spain.
City have been made aware of his position and, with their diminishing number of English players and a need to get players in on the cheap, he could be an attractive option.
Aleksandar Kolarov could hold the key – if he is moved, City will step up their interest in Cole.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers also rates the former Arsenal man highly and is watching developments closely as he looks to strengthen his squad for a Champions League campaign.
But Real is a very real option for Cole who was only being offered a one-year extension at the west Londoners, and on vastly reduced terms.
The Champions League finalists – managed by former Chelsea boss carlo Ancelotti – want cover, have been long-term admirers of Cole and see him as a proven performer in Europe’s top club compeition.
It is understood there has been no interest from Major League Soccer – clubs across the Pond are more interested in glamour forwards and midfielders, so defenders are not that popular.
