Real Madrid On Course For Copa del Final Date With Barca
- Updated: February 11, 2014

Cristiano Ronaldo was hit by a lighter thrown from the stands during Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg at Atletico Madrid.
Ronaldo scored twice from the penalty spot to effectively set the pace for a potential Copa del Rey final with bitter rivals Barcelona after beating Atletico 2-0 in their semi-final second leg.
Real extended their 3-0 lead from the first leg when Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the spot after he was fouled by Javier Manquillo in the seventh minute.
There was a deathly silence nine minutes later as Gareth Bale traded passes with Isco, beat Emiliano Insua for pace and was chopped down. Ronaldo again did the business from 12 yards to extend Real’s advantage over the holders.
Ronaldo was hit by a lighter thrown from the stands during game.
The Portuguese received treatment on the side of the Estadio Vicente Calderón pitch before getting up to walk down the tunnel and rejoin his team-mates.
The Carlo Ancelotti side will now meet the winner of tomorrow’s second semi-final games between Barcelona and Real Sociedad.
