Plateau Football Association Suspends Coach Bewarang, Others For 3 Years

The Plateau Football Association has suspended Coach Bitrus Bewarang and some of its Local Governments Football Association chairmen for the period of three years.

This was contained in communiqué signed by Mr. Ali Jarawa, the chairman of the communiqué drafting committee and was made available to African Examiner in Jos on Tuesday.

It stated that the suspended chairmen were said to have conveyed an illegal general meeting and forum which is in contrast with article 22 of section 14 and 15 of Football Association statute.

”The general assembly has approved the suspension of the following local Government Football Association chairmen for the next three years for going contrary to section 14 and 15 of the FA statute

”They are, Lot Andrew from Mikang LGA, Emmanuel Musa of Kanke LGA, Isa Musa of Mangu, and Ibrahim Ajiji of Jos East LGA.

”Others are Steven Gacha of Jos South LGA and Dennis Isa of Shendam LGA,” it stated.

It also said that the general assembly has directed the deputies of the suspended chairmen to immediately take the mantle of leadership.

The statement further stated that the general assembly has suspended three other members from football activities for impersonation, as representatives of premier, national and nationwide leagues respectively.

Those suspended from football activities were Coach Bitrus Bewarang, Mr Emmanuel Gyang and Mr. Godfrey Hamza.

According to the statement, the suspension would as well, last for three years pending ratification by the Nigerian Football Federation.

The statement said that the general assembly has passed an implicit vote of confidence on the executive council of the PFA.
