Neymar Out For Up To Four Weeks
- Updated: January 17, 2014

(AFP) Barcelona will be without Neymar for between three and four weeks after he badly twisted an ankle in Thursday’s Copa del Rey win at Getafe, the club has announced.
“Tests carried out this Friday morning have confirmed that Neymar is suffering from a sprained right ankle. He will be out for approximately three to four weeks,” a statement on Barcelona’s website read.
The Brazilian therefore faces a race against time to be fit for Barça’s UEFA Champions League last 16, first leg away to Manchester City on 18 February.
He suffered the nasty-looking injury midway through the first half of Thursday’s 2-0 win against Getafe and was replaced by Alexis Sanchez.
Barcelona progressed 6-0 on aggregate to set up a quarter-final tie against Levante.
